Homemade Garlic Bread with Slice Bread
Homemade garlic bread made with regular slice bread is quick, budget-friendly, and full of flavor. You don’t need fancy bakery bread to enjoy crispy, buttery garlic bread at home. With just a few ingredients, you can make golden, aromatic garlic bread in minutes using an oven, pan, or even an air fryer.
Ingredients (Serves 2–4)

Method 1: Oven-Baked Garlic Bread
Step 1: Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Step 2: Prepare Garlic Butter
In a small bowl, mix softened butter, minced garlic, chopped coriander or parsley, oregano, chili flakes, and a pinch of salt. Mix until well combined.
Step 3: Prepare the Bread
Place the bread slices on a baking tray. Spread a generous layer of garlic butter evenly on one side of each slice. If you like cheesy garlic bread, sprinkle grated cheese on top.
Step 4: Bake
Bake in the preheated oven for 10–12 minutes until the edges are crispy and the top is lightly golden. For extra crispiness, switch to broil mode for the last 1–2 minutes, watching carefully to avoid burning.
Method 2: Pan-Toasted Garlic Bread
Heat a non-stick pan on low to medium heat. Place the buttered bread slices butter-side down in the pan. Cover and cook for 2–3 minutes, then flip and toast the other side for another minute until golden and crispy.
Method 3: Air Fryer Garlic Bread
Preheat the air fryer to 350°F (180°C). Place the bread slices in the basket in a single layer. Air fry for 5–6 minutes until crispy and golden.
