Air Fryer Garlic Butter Roasted Mushrooms
These garlic butter roasted mushrooms are crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and bursting with savory flavor. Using an air fryer makes them faster to cook than the oven, while keeping them tender and delicious with minimal oil.
Ingredients
-
450 g (1 lb) whole or halved button or cremini mushrooms
-
3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
-
3 cloves garlic, minced
-
1 teaspoon olive oil
-
½ teaspoon salt
-
¼ teaspoon black pepper
-
½ teaspoon dried thyme or Italian seasoning
-
Optional: chopped fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
1. Preheat the air fryer
Set your air fryer to 180°C (360°F) and let it preheat for 3–5 minutes.
2. Prepare the mushrooms
Clean the mushrooms by wiping them with a damp cloth or paper towel. Remove stems if desired. Pat dry to ensure they roast properly.
3. Make garlic butter mixture
In a small bowl, combine melted butter, olive oil, minced garlic, salt, black pepper, and dried thyme.
4. Toss mushrooms
Place mushrooms in a large bowl and pour the garlic butter mixture over them. Toss gently to coat all mushrooms evenly.
5. Air fry the mushrooms
Place mushrooms in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Cook for 10–12 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through to ensure even cooking. Mushrooms should be golden brown and tender.
6. Garnish and serve
Remove from the air fryer and transfer to a serving dish. Sprinkle with chopped fresh parsley if desired. Serve hot as a side dish, appetizer, or snack.
