Air Fryer Poached Eggs
Poaching eggs in the air fryer is easy and convenient. You get a tender white and creamy yolk without dealing with swirling water or sticking to the pan.
Ingredients
-
2 large eggs
-
1–2 teaspoons water
-
Nonstick silicone muffin cups or ramekins
-
Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
1. Preheat the air fryer
Set your air fryer to 160°C (320°F) and preheat for 3–5 minutes.
2. Prepare the cups
Lightly grease silicone muffin cups or small ramekins. Crack one egg into each cup. Add about 1 teaspoon of water to the egg to help steam it.
3. Air fry the eggs
Place the cups in the air fryer basket. Cook at 160°C (320°F) for 6–8 minutes depending on your preferred yolk consistency:
-
6 minutes: runny yolk
-
7–8 minutes: soft but slightly set yolk
4. Check and serve
Carefully remove the cups using tongs or a spatula. Gently slide the eggs out onto a plate. Season with salt and pepper.
